Hi, I'm Meg

LMFT, ATR, CCPS-C

I find most joy as a therapist when I witness someone reach empowerment and cultivate meaningful relationships. This has lead me to specialize in women's sexuality, relational issues, partners of sex addicts, and collaborative divorce.   I work from a systems theory model in which I conceptualize mental health and sexual issues in relation to larger societal systems and cultural "norms".

My own experiences with art making inspired me to seek an education in art therapy as I know that art is one of the most profound healers which we all have access to at any given time. When talking isn't enough, art can awaken the emotional parts of the brain and integrate deeper healing within the nervous system.

I hold strong values in continued education and diversifying my work as this allows me to be well prepared, empathetic, culturally sensitive, and adaptive as a therapist. As a result I hold several licenses and/or certifications: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Registered Art Therapist (ATR), Certified Clinical Partner Specialist (CCPS), and Collaborative Divorce Mental Health Coach. In addition to private practice, I am a part-time faculty member of Loyola Marymount University, Clinical Supervisor, and I provide services to at-risk-youth in Watts.

On my free time, I enjoy maintaining my own art practice, DIY projects, camping, and outrigger canoe racing.
